A 2m 73cm house unit for Ham Radio?
I am looking for a unit that runs off of AC that has the 2 meter freq. and the 73 freq. anything else is okay. Scene i'm not out of school i don;t have a lot of money, i was looking for a programmable radio with 50 watts that was under $200 but under $250 at most, am i asking for to much?

First, do you have a Ham license? If you don't yet, go for the tech license, it's better and easier to get than the general. The general lets you operate everywhere but the tech lets you operate in the 2 meter band and up. Get on the net and type in ham radio swap meets. That is the place to go to get ham equipment at low prices. You might check around your area to see who are the Ham operators. They might have extra equipment they want to sell, or know someone else who does.
You might try typing in AARL(american amateur radio league) they have a magazine and on their website they might have information about swap meets or have ads for people who are selling equipment.
The last suggestion is to listen to the ham bands on a regular AM/FM/shortwave receiver. I have heard the hams on 2 meters talking about different meets coming up or ham fests. Find one in your area and get acquainted, there should be some coming up soon. Meeting hams will help a lot and they will help get you started.

Unshielded speaker wires picking up HF radio is a common problem and is usually very easy to fix with cheap ferrite chokes.
For the telephone problem, unless you neighbor knows how to fix it easily you might have to call on the telephone company as they are responsible for the quality of service.

I just got a Handheld CB radio and I want to know what the best antenna is for it?
I just got a Cobra 38 WXST and I have a piece of shit antenna on it now that gives me 4 miles of range. What is the best long range antenna for this model?
Handhelds are a compromise in all aspects to allow you to use them as a handheld.
4 mile range on a handheld CB radio is outstanding.
CB is in the 11 metre band so the best antenna you could get would be an 11 metre long whip. That's obviously impractical hence your handheld comes with a coiled antenna.
Unless you intend to use an external antenna you really will have to make do.

What's a good dtv antenna?
I need an antenna for my lcd tv. I don't car if its outdoor, but I need something powerful and small. There is vhf and uhf local channels here, so it has to be dual band. All the channels are no more then 38.2 miles from the house here.
Try the Winegard 7080P or look up the antenna reference for Winegard and get one that's better.
