what would you recommend for a good performing dual band ham radio antenna?
I will be purchasing a yaesu ft 7800 dual band radio in the next couple of weeks. I am seeing these antennas with different connectors (NMO-Pl259), different gains, and different waves. Does the higher dbi get you better range? and does the longer antenna get you a better recieve and transmit? I will be purchasing a vertical antenna dipole style for the two bands and was just looking for a little bit of help with what these things actually mean when your working the equipment. the set up will be in a vehicle. thanks a lot!
I can just recommend a Good Site to go to for the information you need. They have a blog, question and answers concerning every thing to do with Ham Radio. It would be easier for you to go there because you know exactly what it is you need.
