When can I switch out starter earring?
I just pierced my ear today. Could I take out the starter and put in a different earring, not a hanger, a ring, or a gage, but just a different normal earring. I heard that it would heart trying to but the other one in but I feel no pain playing with it. I know I have to have an earring in there all the time, but not if I can switch them.
Please tell me cuz I really want to switch it! lol
No you need to wait a few weeks for the new piercings to heal. It's considered an "open wound" so changing it could lead to infection and you really don't want smelly puss holes. As for the pain, that depends on how much you can tolerate. I started out with basic piercings anyone can get at the mall. After they healed I turned they and stretched themselves and now have size 10's in (not big at all). I would wait a good two or three weeks depending on how well they heal- some people heal quicker than others.
