Once you get a HAM Radio license, do you have to renew if after a set period of time or is it a lifetime thing?
In the U.S., you have to renew once every 10 years. You don't have to re-take the tests, just send in the fee. You can't renew more than 90 days in advance; once you have the license (if you don't already), you'll get some paperwork from the FCC that will enable you to log in online and change things like addresses or phone numbers. I haven't looked to see (yet) if you can pay for your license that way, too, but I'm sure if you can't, it's not far in the future.
