What type of radio makes a 3 rapid beep when u hold down the ptt button?
I know it's a Motorola type radio, but I don't know which one makes that 3 rapid beep when you hold down the ptt button for a second.
Lots of radios will beep differently upon transmission. It depends on the radio manufacturer and model. As an example, if my HT doesn't have enough battery power to transmit, it will beep differently. Also if I am on a frequency which only allows receiving but not transmitting, it will also beep differently.
Your best bet is to find the model number. If its nowhere on the exterior or bottom side, then pull the top cover if its a mobile rig. They usually have model numbers / serials on shell or inside on the board.
