yaege FC-1 portable frequency counter?
does anybody know if you can get test leads for these counters as when i use the antenna for it on my small own built radio transmitter the signal is quite weak so im also picking up other signals as well and getting the wrong reading
any help appreciated

From the picture on e-bay it looks kind of like a "TNC" connector. You need to go to Radio Shack with your counter and try some connectors to see if they fit. Once you find the right connector, you can make a jumper wire with the mating connector from your radio on one end and the other end will be the counter's mating connector.
Another "quick and dirty" way to try is to just take a short length of coax (20 cm) and expose a short length (1 cm) of the center conductor on both ends. Touch the center conductor to the output of your radio and the other end to the counter's connector center pin. That may work. Just make sure the shield is not touching the center conductor on both ends.
