USB to Parallel port converter programming?
hi guys ,
i had a desktop with parallel port and i used it to run my own circuits , now i have sold my desktop and bought a new laptop , as you know modren laptops don't have parallel port ,so i turned to the usb port and wanted to do the same thing with it, but then i have found that it is not easy to program a usb port and that i need a whole usb signal reader , so i bought a USB to parallel port converter , i was happy then , but again my old porgram didn't work , now do anyone of you have any ideas of how to control parallel port pins using usb to parallel port converter
plz try to use VB.net or VB6 or C# for codes

You need to install the parallel port profile. It should come with your USB converter.
Then you need to map it to a LPT port.
Also, there are 1-way and 2-way USB to parallel port converters. You probably need the 2-way version.
