New HDTV and i want HD channels, but I cant plug in antenna. HELP!!?
Hi, I just bought a Dynex 32" HDTV, and i was looking up how to get HD channels.
I've read that you can use an antenna, or you can buy a converter box.
But since my TV is already HD, do i NEED an antenna? Or can i still use the box?
My TV does not have a plug for an antenna so I have no idea what to do.
I still have time to take back the TV, so please let me know!!

You have just purchased a new TV that already has a digital tuner in it. A converter box changes the digital TV signal to analog so older TVs can receive it. It will do nothing for you other than make it so you will not have high def.

Yes, you need an antenna. An antenna captures the RF signal that is transmitted over the air.

Where did you buy this TV from? I believe it has been a requirement now for some time that all TVs sold are supposed to have a tuner, which means the TV will have an antenna input.
What exact model Dynex TV do you have?

gismoII clearly has no idea what he is talking about. You most certainly can receive a high def signal with an antenna and a high def TV.

If you go to the link to the TV you posted and then go to the specifications tab and read down a bit, it very clearly says this TV has at least an NTSC tuner. Either this information is wrong or you are missing it. Now the problem is an NTSC tuner is an analog one and it says nothing about having a digital tuner.
