How do I power a Yaesu FTH-2070 radio?

I've had this Yaesu FTH-2070 HT for a few years now, but have been upable to find info on how to power it up. The batter pack costs $70-120, so that's a huge investment if the ht doesn't work! I don't have even a dead battery pack. It has three pins on the bottom as well as two grooves the battery pack slides onto. I assume the grooves are for chassis support. Pics on battery show a metal ring that contacts the two outer pins. Is the powering 12 Volts with the two outer pins (-) Negative and Center pin (+) Positive? Any help is greatly appreciated! Tnx & 73

I just found the following resources. The first is where you can 'ask an expert' and get a quick reply. Have you checked with a local ham radio club? Someone may be able to get the radio powered up so you can check it out. Wish I knew more. 73
