How do I wire an old 4pin microphone to a 3pin mic cable? Diagram needed.?
I've got an old Electro Voice 630 4 pin microphone that I know works and would like to wire it to a modern 3 pin cable. I've also got 2 other Electro Voice 664s that were successfully wired to 3 pin cable. I would love to take one of the working 664s apart to match the wiring. However the wiring inside the 664s are so touchy that I would destroy the wire inside needed to repair them and they work so well right now that it would be a shame to take one apart. All I need is a diagram or some explanation as to what pin 4 is for and whether I need to use pin 4 at all. Please help me with this task regarding any useful suggestions to specific wiring and nothing else. Don't want to get a new mic and don't want to tear apart the already working old mics I have.
