Using DCS or CTCSS codes on a UHF radio over a repeater?
Hi,
I'm using my UHF radio in Melbourne, Australia near a repeater and I'm trying to get to talk to a friend over the channel via the repeater. Because the channel is so packed and we don't want everyone listening, we tried using DCS and CTCSS encryption... but we can't hear anything if we do that. Any ideas on how to talk privately but still over a repeater? Cheers.
