how can I tell if its the power cord or the jack thats not working right?
my lap top only powers up when my power cord is plugged in at certain angles on the jack. As of now I have to jam the cord on the jack by clamping books on my desk and wedging my computer in between them. I've thought about replacing the cord but thought I'd pose this question before forking out the $70 to do so.
Without more information it could be either a loose connection inside the end of the power cord or a loose jack.
Do you have access to another power cord? If so plug it in and if its the same problem its the jack. Otherwise powercord
