Is it ok to link two antennas to one unit two way fm tranciever?

i have an icom v8 handheld radio... am using cp22 antenna for it , is it ok to link another arial antenna to it?

Winn - You can do this but it will make the radio perform worse not better. If you tried to transmit, you will have high SWR. Two antennas makes no sense. One proper antenna will work a lot better for receiving and transmitting.
