Is it ok that i face my 10 inch eminence straight up from my back panel?
I have two ten inch delta 10-a eminence. I am using them as my highs and im running 300 watts rms to each. I cut out holes in my back panel where my 6x9's were and i mounted the eminence there. I heard from friends that its not safe to do that because since i am pushing 300 watts to these speakers and their rms is 350 it might shatter my back windshield because the high frequency will be so loud. I wanted to know if it was really safe to do this or not. remember, they are face straight up at my window, but my back window is slanted. thanks for the help.
Judging by the thiele-small parameters, it seems taht it would work pretty well as a mid/mid bass speaker. It wouldn't hurt anything on the rear deck of youd car.
