Ham Radio Practice Tests

What's an easy way to learn about ham radio?

I had trouble reading the book and comprehending the stuff. If there's a site where you can have something like "hands-on" that would help. Reading from the book isn't working so well. And practice tests aren't helping either. Please help!!! ASAP

Hands down, the best way to learn about Ham (Amateur) Radio is to meet a Ham operator. I learned everything I needed to know by going to meetings, checking in on the local repeaters on a regular basis, and making friends of people called "elders". An elder can be anyone in the ham community that has a lot of knowledge about Ham Radio in general and usually has a ton of equipment that they'll let you hang out and use!

To find a club or to learn more about starting out in Ham Radio, visit the American Radio Relay League's (ARRL) "Get Involved" website at: http://www.arrl.org/get-involved/
