Can a VHF 2-way radio be used for video?
Would it work to connect the video output of a camera to an audio transformer and feed it into the mic connection on my vhf radio? The radio I have to use is a Yeasu FT-7800R which is modified for use outside the ham bands.
The ham bands do not have sufficient bandwidth to handle video. They can do slow scan TV with the right packet equipment. It would be impossible to force video through a microphone input. It would be a blast if we could.
