how do you turn the power up or down? the is onely on button that say's power and that turns the radio on/off please help,i am new to ham radio.......thanks to all. bob,,,pallmall609@yahoo.com
To adjust the Power Output.. use the MIC - CAR knobs..(MIC for Phone, CAR for CW).. don't 'crank' them wide open.. I use my 440S with them at 6 or 7 and have gud reports on my audio. The Output Power will also be affected by SWR, etc.. so make sure your antenna is properly tuned.. or use a tuner to keep the SWR low. As the previous suggested.. Read the Manual.. great rig except for the Key Bounce.. you may notice when you push the number 3.. you get a Full Display of 3's! Thats Key Bounce.. and tough to fix! 73 and Gud Luck de VE6CPP
