setings for drum dial?
i have a 5 piece tama sl hyperdrive five piece and it came with shallow toms, i put two ply coated pinstripe heads and there is still WAY too much resonance..i cant seem to find any good drum dial tunings on the internet for shallow toms, please give me some recommendations.
Well for starters, drum dials don't work unfortunately. The varying resistance between the lug and lug box defeats the whole concept of tuning drums with a "torque wrench". Even if there weren't the problem with lug box resistance, the dial only gets you evenly out of tune, not in tune. Same with the ones that use the pressure of the head at a given point. Tuning drums can be a little frustrating to learn and do properly. It takes patience and trial and error, but here is all the info you need.
