is there any way to connect to the Internet via a firewire connection with out a hub or a second computer?
I have spent about 1 hour looking for a possible solution for connecting my computer to a router/modem combo through a firewire for a faster Internet connection because when i connect through an Ethernet connection I can only get 100Mbp's and in the control panel in windows under network and Internet connections I have three connections wireless with only 54Mbp's , LAN with only 100Mbp's and I have a 1394 connection that is 400Mbp's and I know that the only way to connect to the 1394 connection is through a firewire but the problem is, there seems to be no way to connect a firewire to a router or modem unless the firewire has a female Ethernet end. I guess what I am asking is there a cable for this or is there a special router for firewire, and if there isn't one right now will there be one in the near future, because I would love to have an Internet connection that is between 400Mbp's and 900Mbp's or higher
