Water damage to capacitor?
I have a 2 farad capacitor for a car stereo. It has never been used, but half a year ago it was in a house fire. It wasn't in any of the rooms that burned, but got a lot of water. It looks completely as new after I cleaned it up, but would it be safe to use?
yea they say they can blow up just from being new and hooking up for the first time but i think if water would have damaged it, it would probably not work at all instead of doing damage or just work i would just try it i dont see it harming anything
