My battery pack will not run my Gateway computer when disconnect from A/C source?
This is a new power pack. The battery shows 100% charged but when I try to run on the battery the computer will not run. Where do I start to correct this problem. Thanks.
When not using the computer for about six hours leave the battery pack plugged in and connect the AC Adapter and allow it to charge the battery. Then disconnect the AC Adapter and see if it will boot up. Sometimes you need to remove the battery pack and then insert it again. I haven't kept up with Gateway for a long time, but my older one had a program to calibrate the battery. There may be a program in the menus for this and maybe the battery needs to be calibrated first. I don't have an answer, so this is for information purposes.
