Will a rooftop antenna make a big difference on Air Band radio frequencies?
I've been listening to air band frequencies (108 to 137 Mhz) using the built-in telescopic antennas on both a shortwave type radio and a scanner. Will I get significantly better reception and/or more signals to choose from if I install a rooftop antenna for this band? The reason I ask is because most of the signals are coming from planes that are already up in the air. Thanks for any insight.
