Does a Ham Radio G5RV Jr. Antenna have to in a certain position to work?
I have a 51Ft long, G5RV Jr antenna in an inverted V the apex is @ 35 Ft. and the ends are about 12 Ft above the ground and it isn't doing well. I have limited space and I can only raise one end of the antenna up parallel to the apex and would have to leave the other end at a 45 degree slope. Would this improve the performance or should I leave it in the inverted V

I found that raising the ends will make a difference. The only way to know is to try it! Experimentation in HR is what its all about anyway!

I have one with the apex at 40 feet and the ends are up at around 15 feet. It works ok seems better than a normal "dipole". But I haven't done any "extensive testing" about the results either.
I also haven't tried the Jr. version which will be somewhat different http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/2070 has a good discussion on it. I will say a tuner is needed for it to work well across all bands, actually either version!
